Pont du Diable canyon - Lyon Geneva Annecy Chamonix

Ideally located in the heart of the Bauges Massif, near Lecheraines and Bellecombe-en-Bauges, this canyon very close to Aix-les-Bains, Chambéry, and Annecy, the Pont du Diable Canyon features a stunning gorge.

After completing the aqua hike of the Nant de Glapigny, a calm beginning with small obstacles and a short river walk, you’ll reach the entrance of a magnificent gorge.

Although relatively short, this gorge offers a wide variety of obstacles, including jumps, abseils, slides, and long swims.

The Pont du Diable Canyon in the Bauges is somewhat similar to the Infernet Canyon in the Chartreuse region. The narrow gorge is impressive, with vertical walls over 50 meters high, creating unforgettable memories – perfect for a bachelor or bachelorette party activity.

In spring, snowmelt can lead to high water levels, making the canyon either impossible or quite sporty to descend! During such conditions, the Ternèze Canyon may be a great alternative for a half-day discovery early in the season. Similarly, for those near Lac du Bourget, the Bridoire Canyon is another excellent option.

In summer, with lower water levels, the descent of the Pont du Diable Canyon becomes easier: an initiation accessible to everyone, including children.
