The Furon canyon is probably the most famous canyon in the area. It is located in Vercors Range, accessible too by bus or bike, an hour form Lyon
The upper part is the most popular. On half a day, around 3 hours canyoning, this route is suitable to anyone, individuals, groups as corporate, stag/hen party or any other occasions.
There are many ways to do it, full canyon or super short version. Lots of jumps, water slides, ziplines, abseiling down and some other cool stuff to play with water and have fun with each other.
Theire too are different way to do it and so to adjust the route to each of you.

FAQ
In the upper part, are the jumps mandatory?
None of them is. There is always a way to go by another technic as abseiling down or water-slide.
Is the upper part of the canyon possible for beginners?
Yes it is. It’s even a very suitable one to discover all about canyoning.
Is there a approach walk?
10 minutes of leisurely walking to get to the start of the canyon.
How high is it possible de jump in this canyon?
The 1sr Jump is about 33 ft high that only the ones who are skilled for jumping will do. At the end of one of the parts, another jumps is 26 ft high, for the good ones too. Keep in mind that the instructor will always be the one who can tell if the jump is possible yes or no and who can jump or not.
Is water cold ?
Here the water, as it comes from mountain, is constantly fresh that is good in summer! You will be equipped and well insulated by good quality neoprene wetsuit and neoprene socks.
Is it possible to go to the top of Furon without a car ?

- If sharing a car is not possible, you can take a bus (40 minutes): Line T64 from Grenoble bus station and get off at the stop calls "ENGINS LES BRETS", the parking of RDV is just in 50 m

Must-do near Furon canyon upper part
The classic with an outstanding view on Grenoble city. A route with rappel down, climbing, zip line in an incredible landscape near St Nizier du Moucherotte.
Guess what, the lower part is noted just below the upper part!! Also a classic with more vertical than the superior and you will encounter a tributary gettinfg from a famous cave "les Cuves de Sassenage" when passing in front of the exite of it.
4h30 caving next to Lans en Vercors. Mainly vertical with abseiling down and an interesting concretions room.
This VF is the most popular in France. The two parts bring to the top of the Bastille in Grenoble through 17th Century fortifications climbing.
Near Grenoble, just above Claix, this canyon is mostly known for its impressive 260 ft high waterfall. You won’t forget it!!
At the bottom of Presles crags, above Choranche caves, this route is aerial, with a 130 ft rappel down for all levels.
