Description
Ternèze Boyat Canyon is a nice and suitable way for an introduction to Canyoning. More like natural aquatic park. You find every games on the same spot and so easily.

Perfect to practice canyoning near Aix les Bains or Chambéry, but too for those who come from Lyon, (1/1h30 drive). We’ll need a ten minutes walking only to get to the start from the Curienne (Savoie) City House.
The Ternèze canyon, farther short, brings together all the technics in a very easy and funny way though. It can be done several times to take the best of its multiple test obstacles.
A first run to safety discover all the obstacles and get easy with the spots, then a second one with some bigger challenge maybe and among other things more impress water-slides. Twenty minutes are necessary to get back from the end to the parking lot.
Canyon located in Bauges Mountains, twenty minutes from Chambéry. For a full day, it’s possible to make in a row the Pont du diable Canyon located at twenty five minutes, near Lescheraines.

What is the highest jump in Tezrnèze canyon?
The highest jump is 33 ft, but it is not mandatory.
Is the vertical slide mandatory?
No, this slide is not mandatory. It is possible to pass by doing a short abseiling with a 5m rope.
Is this canyon suitable for children?
Yes, the Canyon de Ternèze course is ideal for children. It is accessible from 6 years old for any child who can swim.

Is doing the route twice, as said in your presentation, boring?
In Ternèze Canyon you can do it twice:
- once to discover the spot with jumps and water-slides
- A second time to redo and again the jumps and water-slides
We can so get into the canyon progressively warming up and have more fun after.
Is the siphon that we see in the video mandatory?
No, it's easy to go over the rock instead of diving underneath. However, with the help of your guide, this obstacle is easily overcome. Ternèze canyon and siphon.

The Massif des Bauges Regional Natural Park, which includes the Ternèze canyon, implements conservation measures, such as protecting habitats and regulating visitor numbers, to preserve biodiversity.
What is the fauna and flora around the Ternèze canyon?
Around the Ternèze canyon, the fauna includes a sample of the great variety of species present, such as chamois, marmots, raptors like the golden eagle and the peregrine falcon, the white-throated dipper, the salamander, and the wallcreeper. The flora is also rich with plants like the yellow gentian, wild orchids, and Alpine columbine. With a bit of luck, one may be able to observe these species during a visit. The Regional Natural Park of the Bauges Massif implements conservation measures to protect these natural riches.
