Via Ferrata in Saint-Vincent de Mercuze Chartreuse massif

Created in 2015, the Saint Vincent de Mercuze via ferrata dates back to the famous Alloix waterfalls. On the same principle as the Via ferrata of the Waterfall in Alpe du Grand Serre, we will enjoy the atmosphere of canyoning during the ascent.

There are 2 ways to access the via ferrata; either from Saint Vincent de Mercuze with a fairly steep approach walk of 45 min, or from Saint Marie du Mont for a 10-minute descent on foot.

It is an easy course ideally for families. The waterfalls give you refreshness in hot days.

• The first part of the route goes up across the river with beams and the Nepalese bridge, where remains fairly shaded with beautiful plant cover. If you are lucky enough, when you cross the big 30m footbridge, you may be able to admire canyoners who abseil the 25m summit waterfall from the Alloix canyon..
• The second part offers an open view of the Belledonne massif and the Isère valley. The aerial setting, the vibe of waterfalls and the easy climb, makes this via ferrata a particularly half-day initiation of discovery.
