Canyoning is an activity that can be practiced all year round. With appropriate equipment and supervision, enjoy the winter landscape and the tranquility of the surroundings to share a unique moment and experience with friends, colleagues, or family in a beautiful natural environment.
Among our caving routes, some of them remain accessible all year round. These include dry caves (without water) and routes with easy access and minimal approach, allowing you to quickly enter underground. Ideal for bad weather days, enjoy outdoor activities even in the rain. Moreover, underground cavities have a stable temperature year-round between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius.
Via ferrata is a fantastic activity to enjoy in the winter as well. While some routes may be inaccessible during the winter season, there are others perfectly exposed and equipped to make the most of sunny days.

Our winter outings
The winter caving experiences take place in the Vercors Massif. We offer three levels of difficulty, ranging from the most accessible, such as La Grotte Roche, ideal for beginners, to more physically demanding caving involving various techniques, as well as an intermediate level suitable for sporty individuals looking for a half-day adventure.
The unusual underground night is an experience available all year round. With a stable temperature around fifteen degrees Celsius in both summer and winter, enjoy a dinner and bivouac underground, and discover the wonders of this unique environment.
The via ferrata of La P'tchi located in the Bauges Massif faces south. It can be done even in the middle of winter on a sunny day. The via ferrata route at Roc du Cornillon is a magnificent course to explore on the hottest winter days, offering a view overlooking Lake Bourget, especially during the warmer winter days.
Try canyoning in a wetsuit at Angon Canyon in Lake Annecy, only 45 minutes from Geneva, which is ideal for canyoning in winter. The "discovery" route changes throughout the seasons, becoming more challenging and longer in the winter, appealing to the most adventurous individuals.

What are the opening dates for the winter season?
Winter canyoning in Angon is available from November 1st to April 15th.
The via ferratas and speleologies offered in our winter activities are accessible all year round.
What to do in case of bad weather?
In case of bad weather, your guide will assess whether it's possible to practice the activity safely or not. We will contact you as soon as possible in case of cancellation. The outing may be postponed or refunded according to our Terms and Conditions. We invite you to read the section "Cancellation/Modification" of our General Terms of Sale.
If you are coming from far away, don't hesitate to let us know so that we can plan ahead.
Is the activity maintained in the event of extreme weather conditions?
The activities we offer are dependent, for some, on the weather, which is why they may be canceled by the guide in case of extreme weather conditions. A weather check is done the day before the activity.
Does the price include specific equipment?
Yes, the price includes supervision by a professional and the loan of specific technical equipment for the activity. The list of equipment you need to provide is found in the description and in your confirmation email.
How to dress in winter for activities?
It is important to adapt your outfit according to the current temperatures, especially for via ferrata. Be sure to bring warmer clothing, fleeces, and possibly gloves.
For winter canyoning, the guide will provide suitable waterproof wetsuits.
In spelunking, the underground temperature remains the same in summer and winter. However, it is advisable to bring warm clothing for after the activity.
